Seattle’s Ye Olde Curiosity Shop is the best place in the city to go to put yourself in a spooky mood for Halloween (or any other time of the year, for that matter).
The shop, which is located on Alaskan Way in Seattle’s waterfront area (about ten minutes from Pike Place Market), is well-known for its creepy artifacts, mysterious curios, and slightly scary artifacts. Shrunken heads, taxidermied critters, and other oddities are abundant. A lot of stuff is for sale (generally replicas) but the museum section of the shop is where the real (not for sale) goods are kept: authentic shrunken heads, dead creatures preserved in jars of alcohol, and genuine mummies.
If you’re ever in Seattle, you’ve got to stop by Ye Olde Curiosity Shop.
