Seattle’s Ye Olde Curiosity Shop is the best place in the city to go to put yourself in a spooky mood for Halloween (or any other time of the year, for that matter).

The shop, which is located on Alaskan Way in Seattle’s waterfront area (about ten ┬áminutes from Pike Place Market), is well-known for its creepy artifacts, mysterious curios, and slightly scary artifacts. Shrunken heads, taxidermied critters, and other oddities are abundant. A lot of stuff is for sale (generally replicas) but the museum section of the shop is where the real (not for sale) goods are kept: authentic shrunken heads, dead creatures preserved in jars of alcohol, and genuine mummies.

If you’re ever in Seattle, you’ve got to stop by Ye Olde Curiosity Shop.
